1/4” – 3/8” in height, depending on the Sloped Sill Pan you will be using, please check SureSill Specifications for more details. [Link to SureSill Specs]

9. My door installation instructions require me to screw down the sill plate. Can I use screws through the SureSill?

Yes, however, a special attention is needed. Please keep in mind that “unsealed penetrations” can be considered a construction defect and we do not want that. We want “sealed penetrations” that will stay sealed for more than 10 years. A pilot hole1/16” smaller in diameter then the interior thread of the fastener should be drilled through SureSill Pan and the subfloor (or foundations). The pilot hole should be filed with Sealant. The Fastening Screw made from stainless steel, should be driven in the hole squeezing a portion of the Sealant out. Additional Sealant should be tooled over the head of the Fastener to prevent moisture penetrations around the fastener.

10. Should I buy 11X or fixed depth pan?

If you can use fixed depth pan it will be easier and less expensive than 11X. However, if your door/window requires a special size pan, not available in fixed depth pans, then 11X would be the pan to use if the available sizes match your needs.
